Same kitchen. Same vaulted ceiling. Completely different vibe. 😍

See how we took this one from 90s honey oak to warm, modern and seriously functional:
🔸 Clunky angled island → big white island with a overhang in two sides, room for the whole crew
🔸 Honey oak → rich wood-grain slab doors + white glass uppers
🔸 Built-in microwave tucked into a full pantry wall
🔸 Chimney hood, subway tile, full stainless lineup
🔸 Tile + carpet swapped for warm wide-plank flooring that flows right through

Floor vents are one of those details nobody thinks about until the new floor is in and something looks off. 👀
When we renovate, we give clients two main options:
Option 1: Flooring insert vent
A slim frame with a piece of your actual flooring set inside, so the vent almost disappears. It works with tile, hardwood and vinyl plank. It's the go-to for modern, minimalist spaces, but it costs more and is best planned during the flooring install.
Option 2: Perforated vent
A classic metal grille in patterns and finishes like satin nickel, bronze, black or brass. It's lower cost, easy to swap later, and usually has a damper to control airflow. It suits traditional and transitional homes.
There's no wrong choice. It comes down to your style, your budget and how you use the space.
Which one would you pick: 1 or 2? Tell us in the comments 👇
📌 Save this for your reno, and send us a message if you're planning one in Edmonton or the surrounding area.

Same home, new owners, different needs. 🏡
What works for one homeowner doesn’t necessarily work for another. After purchasing this home, our clients wanted to make it their own—one of the projects was mudroom and laundry area.
The existing cabinets and apartment-sized washer and dryer made way for full-sized stacked laundry, open shelving, and dedicated space for coats and shoes. A fresh, practical layout that fits their everyday routine.
Some of you will definitely like the old layout, and some would do the open concept. Which one is your style?✨

Remember that bathroom where the second sink was a must? Let's talk about the countertop 😍 We used Vicostone Verdelia quartz on the new double vanity. The soft green tone with flowing white veining adds just the right amount of colour without overpowering the space. Swipe to see the veining up close ➡️

Inspiration, progress, and finished art

We had an EXCELLENT experience working with Artman Contracting Ltd. from start to finish! Artman was quick to respond to our request to meet, review and then quote on our renovation job. They listened to exactly what we wanted and gave some great idea options of their own. We were working within a tight timeline, and they accommodated us to make it work! Artman and their crew were so easy to work with, delivered exactly what was promised. Communication was very clear and consistent. Craftsmanship is solid and you can tell they take great pride in their work! Contractor is very professional, detail-oriented, and they took the time to explain options and solutions along the way. Job site was kept clean and organized, and the final results look amazing! Extremely happy and would absolutely recommend Artman Contracting to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality renovation work!
Thank You Artman!
